Zayed Giving Initiative launches Ramadan Social Cohesion Forum in Fujairah General July 28, 20120 Fujairah: Zayed Giving Initiative has launched the Ramadan Social Cohesion Forum in the emirate of Fujairah under the slogan ‘Cohesion: Our Responsibility’. The Forum comes within the framework of the One Million Volunteers campaign which was launched at the behest of HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union and of the Family Development Foundation. The One Million Volunteers campaign was launched in 2009 to attract one million men and women volunteers from diverse disciplines to take part in a drive to dedicate one million hours of voluntary work in community and economic development involving health, environment, education and culture. Moza Al Otaiba, senate member of the Zayed Giving Initiative, said that the various segments of the society had given warm welcome to the various efforts of the Initiative. “Several young men and women participated in the voluntary works, thus leaving a good impact in the society in the emirate”, said Moza Al Otaiba. Zayed Giving Initiative is a unique model for humanitarian work at local and international levels. Since its inception in 2003, the initiative has made valuable contributions to various areas of community services and volunteering.
