UAE tops in the region and ranks fourth globally in electronic security

Dubai: The UAE has been ranked the first regionally and fourth globally in the field of advanced electronic security, up by 31 ranks, compared to the previous year, according to “Competitiveness Yearbook World 2012” issued by the International Institute for Management Development.

The report reveals the UAE excels in this area several countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and China.

Commenting on the feat, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Qamzi, Chairman of Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) Board, said “the achievement is another addition to the UAE accomplishments in the area of electronic security competitiveness worldwide.
