UAE embassies in Paris, Rome continue Iftar programmes General August 8, 20120 Abu Dhabi: The UAE Embassy in France continued to host Iftar banquets in Paris and the suburbs. Mass Iftar receptions were held in various mosques in Paris with funding from Skeikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation. The worshippers congregated in the mosques to break the day long fasting and have the food at the sunset. In Rome, the UAE embassy and the Grand Islamic Centre in the Italian capital joined hands to implement the Iftar programme during the holy month of Ramadan. The project is financed by the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation and the UAE Red Crescent. At the sunset, Muslims congregated in various mosques in Rome to break fasting and have their meals after Magrib prayers.
