UAE attends Interpol Heads of National Central Bureau conference

LYON, 16th March, 2017 (WAM) — A delegation from the UAE Ministry of Interior, MoI, participated in the annual Interpol Heads of National Central Bureaus, NCB, conference this week. Delegations from all over the world convened at Interpol Headquarters in Lyon to attend the NCB conference which was held from March 7th to 9th.

Brigadier Abdul Wahid Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director of the Interpol Department at the UAE MoI, headed the state delegation, and said, “Combatting terrorism and anti-crime efforts in all its manifestations continues to be an essential role played by Interpol, bridging gaps and making the world safer.”

Al Hammadi pointed out the UAE’s keenness on enhancing security cooperation, and its commitment to collaborating and exchanging information with the wider police community through Interpol.
