The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments concluded the summer events titled “Summer Gathering to Promote the Preaching Talents”, honoured the participants and awarded them with certificates of appreciation and prizes. This came in a ceremony attended by Dr Mohamed Matar Salem al-Kaabi, Chairman of Awqaf and a host of officials. On this occasion, Dr al-Kaabi extends his appreciation and thanks to the participants in the summer gathering for their keen interest in investing their time in gaining knowledge, developing themselves in the realms of culture, preaching and oratory, bolstering human values and disseminating compassion, tolerance and co-existence. He said that such values had become a slogan for our country due to the vision of our wise leadership that follows in the footsteps of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed and his founding brothers so that the UAE continues to be a symbol of goodness and a source of peace initiatives for humankind. On a related note, Dr al-Kaabi highlights the unwavering support Awqaf receives from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highness the Rulers of the Emirates, saying that such support has substantially contributed to the development of its mission. For their part, the participants’ families praised the gathering role in helping their children make use of the summer holiday in a way that fulfils their needs. It is worth mentioning that the ceremony witnessed various presentations given by the participants, which left a positive impression on the attendees.
