The Fifth During This Year… Integrity Commission: A New Arrest Warrant Issued Against The Former Governor Of Salah al-Din

The Integrity Commission announced the issuance of a new arrest warrant against the former governor of Salah al-Din for deliberately violating the duties of his position, stating: “The new arrest warrant is the fifth issued against the accused during the current year.

In a statement, the commission indicated that a judge of Salah al-Din Investigation Court, which is specialized in examining integrity cases, issued an arrest warrant against the former governor on the charge that he, when he was the head of the governorate’s investment commission, signed an investment license for Malawiyya Samarra City for Sports and Swimming project, after the date of the investor’s contract with the Ministry of Youth.

It added, “Salah al-Din Investigation Court, which has jurisdiction over cases of integrity, issued an arrest warrant based on the provisions of Article (331) of the amended Penal Code No. (111 of 1969).”

It is noteworthy that the Commission announced during the current year the issuance of four arrest warrants against the accused for deliberately committing a violation of his job duties. With the intent of harming the interest of the state, and violating his job duties, pointing out that these arrest warrants were issued based on the provisions of Articles (331 and 340) of the Penal Code.
