A statement by the Alliance stated: “The political body held its periodic meeting in the presence of the head of the Alliance, Muthanna al-Samarrai, and stressed the importance of preserving the unity and stability of Iraq and the political system, and the continuation of joint coordination among the political forces, to approve the budget, and to provide all the requirements for the upcoming elections.”
