ABU DHABI, 2nd December, 2015 (WAM) — Tamouh, Abu Dhabi based real estate developer, and Eltizam Asset Management Group, have celebrated the 44th UAE National Day together with the Marina Square community, showcasing an array of traditional and cultural activities in tribute to the Union.

The festivities, which attracted thousands of people, took place throughout the evening of December 1st at the Sea Walk Area in Marina Square, Reem Island.

Following last year’s success, sponsors Tamouh and Eltizam Asset Management Group, collaborated to bring Reem Island’s growing community together for this year’s National Day celebrations, organised by Three60 Leisure; a premier provider of innovative community lifestyle management solutions.

Joe Ong, Managing Director of Tamouh, commented on the event, saying, “This is a very proud moment for all of us to celebrate the 44th UAE National Day alongside the residents of Marina Square and their families. With over 200 nationalities calling the UAE home, this occasion gives us the chance to show our commitment and appreciation to the UAE and its wise leadership. Witnessing the rapid growth of the country, the UAE holds a special place in our hearts, and through this colourful spectacle, we aim to showcase the UAE’s heritage and cultural diversity in a successful event.”

Honouring the spirit of the Union, the evening presented a vibrant ambiance where residents enjoyed Emirati arts and crafts, the traditional Ayyala dance, burqa making workshops, and falconry. Highlighting the significance of the anniversary of unity, the event showcased Emirati fashion designer Maison Hala and Smovies Awards to celebrate a platform that nurtures UAE talent in the region.

“In honour of the spirit of the Union and the vision of the UAE leaders, we wanted to celebrate the UAE’s National Day with our community for the second year in a row. Reem Island’s residents showed great enthusiasm in making the occasion one of the capital’s must-attend events,” said Chris Roberts, Executive Director of Eltizam Asset Management. “We are delighted about the great turnout which really shows the level of community spirit and admiration of the UAE at Marina Square and from across the residences of Reem Island,” he added.

A dedicated play area for kids with bouncing castles and slides added to the excitement of the children who proudly ran around with the UAE flag painted on their faces. Visitors also had the opportunity to capture their memories at a specially-commissioned photo booth complete with props, as well as taking home souvenirs with their name creatively written in Arabic by a talented calligraphy artist.

The evening was a successful turnout with citizens and residents coming together to give tribute to the union of the UAE’s leadership and proudly commemorate its essence.
