Saudi Finance Minister receives IMF Managing Director

RIYADH, 27th October, 2016 (WAM) — Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, Saudi Minister of Finance, has met with Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, IMF, currently visiting the Kingdom.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, the IFM Managing Director is visiting Saudi Arabia to participate in the meeting of the Joint Committee of Finance Ministers, governors of monetary institutions and central banks of GCC Countries, with the participation of Dr. Ahmed Al-Khulaifi, Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.

During the meeting, they reviewed the economic situations, prospects for growth in major economies, fluctuations in exchange rates and financial markets, and aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and the IMF.
