Ruler of Fujairah receives participants of the 4th International Forum of Industrial Rocks and Mining

FUJAIRAH, 24th February, 2016 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, last night received participants in the Fourth International Forum of Industrial Rocks and Mining at Al Rumaila Palace.

The delegation visiting His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah included Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Under-Secretary for the Ministry of Energy, Dr. Zuhair bin Abdul- Hafeez Nawab, President of the Saudi Geological Survey, and Adel Saqer, Director-General of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organisation, as well as a number of senior officials in the mining field and experts participating in the forum, which opened yesterday at the Fujairah Exhibition Centre.

Sheikh Hamad commended the efforts made by the forum’s participants and organisers, wishing them success in exploring means to support joint cooperation and coordination plans in the field of mining investment and to enrich their experiences in this context.

He called on attendees to view the leading experiences of UAE and Fujairah in the field of investment in industrial rocks and mining, stressing that the UAE2021 strategy and the Fujairah2040 strategy laid the working rules, laws and regulations which provided an encouraging investment climate to support future projects in the sector.

Participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah for the warm reception and the great support provided by him to make the forum a success.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Chairman of Fujairah Natural Resources Authority, and Ali Qassim, Director-General of the authority.
