Ras al-Khaimah Ruler learns about UAEFA's strategy

RAS AL-KHAIMAH, 31st July 2016 (WAM)— President of the UAE Football Association, Marwan bin Ghalita, today met H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, to brief him about the association’s strategy and preparations for future regional and international events.

During a meeting at the ruler’s palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City, Sheikh Saud issued directives to transform national sports clubs into an ideal and attractive environment for the youth to nurture their talents, sharpen their skills and enable them to play an effective role in making achievements, maintaining existing gains and representing the UAE in an honourable way.

He underlined the importance of developing the capabilities of Emirati first division clubs to generate financial resources and fund their activities.

Sheikh Saud also praised the association and H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Honorary President of the UAEFA for supporting the development and achievements of the UAE’s football sector.

He also praised the leadership of the UAEFA and wished for success for their mission. He further underlined the importance of teamwork for serving this sport in the country.

The president of the UAEFA said he had briefed Sheikh Saud bin Saqr on the training camps of Emirati teams, and said the ruler wished for success for the UAE national football team to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
