Pakistan and Turkey discuss joint naval cooperation

Islamabad, 15th February, 2016 (WAM) — The Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces, Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, on Monday met the Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, at the Naval Headquarters in the capital Islamabad.

According to the Director General Public Relations of Pakistan Navy, the Turkish Commander of Naval Forces held detailed discussion on professional matters with his counterpart.

Various avenues of cooperation between the two navies were also discussed in detail.

The Chief of Naval Staff gave him a comprehensive brief on Pakistan Navy’s role in Regional Maritime Security and Operational Development in the Indian Ocean.

Later, Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu would call on the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Rashad Mahmoud.
