RAS AL KHAIMAH, 30th October, 2016 (WAM) — A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Central Bank of the UAE and the Departments of Courts and Public Prosecution in the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah regarding the electronic link and enforcement of sentences, and other judicial orders and resolutions issued by the two RAK departments on individuals and financial institutions.
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, and Mubarak Rashed Al Mansouri, Governor of the UAE Central Bank, attended the signing ceremony at the Ruler’s palace.
The MoU was inked within the context of the federal government’s strategy towards e-transformation of public services and streamlining of transactions processed by the Central Bank and local courts.
Mohammed Ali Al Falasi, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, who signed the MoU with officials from the RAK departments, said the agreement was yet another step forward towards e-transformation under the smart government programme.
He stated that the Central Bank is determined to sign similar memos with other stakeholders.
