Mohammed bin Rashid meets Turkmenistan President

WAM DUBAI, 10th December, 2013 (WAM) — The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today received President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they reviewed a number of bilateral and regional issues of common interest. The discussions also dealt with ways to boost economic, investment and tourism cooperation between the two countries, in light of the interest of the leaders of both the United Arab Emirates and Turkmenistan in strengthening the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two sides for the benefit of their peoples.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the signing of a number of agreements and MoUs between the two countries, stressing that these agreements form an encouraging framework to build more communication and cooperation at various levels.

President Berdimuhamedov hailed the development witnessed by the U.A.E. at all levels, especially infrastructure, human development, educational, technological and other fields.

The meeting was attended by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health, Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler’s Court of Dubai, Lieutenant-General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, in addition to a number of senior officials.

Also present were Hasan Abdullah Al Adhab Al Zarouni, U.A.E. Ambassador to Turkmenistan and Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the U.A.E.
