Mohamed bin Zayed receives UAE Jiu-Jitsu team

ABU DHABI, 22nd March 2016 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today received members of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Team who recently won gold at the Grand Slam London, the fourth and final leg of the Abu Dhabi World Tour.

H.H. Sheikh Mohamed congratulated the team and showed his delight over their global achievement.

He praised the players for making continues efforts and being persistent to add to the UAE’s sports achievements.

H.H. the Crown Prince also urged the players to keep up the good work to achieve more victories and project their country’s image in all international circles.

The players were accompanied by Abdul Munem Al Hashemi, President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and Senior Vice President of the Jiu-Jitsu International Federation.

They expressed appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed for supporting all sports, and jiu-jitsu in particular, and enabling athletes to win continental and international competitions.

H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, attended the meeting.
