MOCCAE, Dubai Police sign cooperation agreement

DUBAI, The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, MOCCAE, and the Dubai Police General Headquarters have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, MoC, to provide a framework for issuing Dubai Police’s Essad discount cards to the ministry’s employees.

The MoC was signed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police.

The Esaad cards scheme provides various discounts packages in participating service providers, including hotels, restaurants, retail outlets, and amusement and entertainment venues throughout the UAE, available through a smart app and a card issued to each beneficiary.

Under the MoC, Dubai Police will inform the ministry’s employees when a new outlet or service provider joins the card’s network. The ministry, for its part, has been mandated with sharing its employees’ database with Dubai Police to enable the latter to issue the cards to MOCCAE’s employees.

Commenting on the MoC signing, Dr. Al Zeyoudi said, “In line with the UAE leadership’s directives to raise the level of employees’ happiness, we aim through such partnerships to enhance ties with federal and local entities as well as the private sector for the purpose of creating an integrated nationwide system that will benefit government employees and ensure their happiness. Happy employees are productive employees. They perform their duties with a touch of creativity that, in turn, boosts the happiness and satisfaction of customers.”

“Since Dubai Police is one of the ministry’s prominent strategic partners, we are keen to set the grounds for further cooperation and coordination through the signing of MoC and the constant launching of joint initiatives that will positively impact and improve the quality of people’s lives,” he added.

Al Marri, in turn, praised the Dr. Al Zeyoudi’s keenness to join the Dubai Police happiness programme for employees, and his interest in encouraging the ministry’s employees to take advantage of the special offers provided to Esaad card holders. Al Marri added that the happiness programme is intended to reward employees for their performance, commitment, dedication and devotion over the past years.
