Lubna Al Qasimi stresses UAE's keenness on promoting forgiveness, coexistence and harmony values

DUBAI, 6th October, 2016 (WAM) — Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, has emphasised the keenness of the UAE’s leadership, government and people to embody the values of tolerance, coexistence and harmony with various cultures and religions which constitute the coherent social fabric in the country.

She confirmed the common human values, which call for respect of cultural diversity, acceptance of others, mutual assistance and brotherhood on the one hand, and denounce violence and extremism, nervousness, discrimination and hatred on the other hand.

Speaking at a ceremony at the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar Sikh Temple in Jebel Ali, Sheikha Lubna also confirmed the keenness of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to enhance the values of co-operation, solidarity, respect and dialogue among cultures.

She also pointed out that the leadership of the country pays attention to all communities and nationalities being hosted by the UAE, which is the symbol of tolerance and peace. The minister also reiterated that the UAE has solid fundamentals in its relations with other countries and cultures, and these relations are based on mutual respect, understanding and harmony.
