SHARJAH, 31st October, 2016 (WAM) — Kalimat Group, a regional frontrunner in the field of Arabic literature publishing and distribution, is to showcase more than 55 new titles for readers of all ages at the 35th edition of Sharjah International Book Fair, SIBF, which will take place from November 2-12, at Expo Centre Sharjah.
All imprints and subsidiaries of Kalimat Group will be taking part at SIBF 2016, namely ‘Kalimat,’ the award-winning publisher of Arabic children’s books, ‘Horouf’, which specialises in creating contemporary smart and innovative educational tools for children in Arabic, ‘Rewayat’, which creates novels targeting adults and young adults, ‘Maktaba’, a literary and cultural cafe that offers a unique environment to enrich the passion of reading, and ‘Kalimat Quarto’ the latest imprint of KG in partnership with Quarto publishing, a leading global illustrated book publisher and distribution group.
Throughout SIBF, the Kalimat Group will organise a series of cultural programmes, workshops and educational competitions. The organisation’s pavilion at the fair will feature a series of workshops, drawing, painting and handicrafts, as well as reading sessions that give visitors the opportunity to listen to recitals and have their favourite books signed by their authors.
Kalimat Group will also launch a competition through its social media pages in conjunction with SIBF, with the contest featuring a number of questions on literature and culture. The winners will be announced on the last day of the book fair, November 12th.
