International Islamic Relief Organisation launches relief programme for Syrian refugees in Sudan

KHARTOUM, 7th February, 2016 (WAM) — The International Islamic Relief Organisation, IIRO, of Muslim World League, MWL, launched today in Khartoum the urgent relief programme for Syrian refugees in Sudan.

IIRO Director in Sudan, Hamid Al-Rifai was quoted by the Saudi Press Agency, as saying in a speech during the opening ceremony on behalf of the Organisation’s Secretary General, Ihsan bin Saleh Tayib, that the IIRO has begun distributing the emergency relief to the Syrians refugees in Sudan, which consists of 450 food baskets at a cost of SR 762,000.

He added that this support comes within the framework of the Organisation’s programmes to provide assistance for all the needy people in the world and war-affected or flash floods areas.
