DUBAI, 22nd January, 2017 (WAM) — Innovation, strategic partnerships and cooperation are the main UK themes as over 100 British companies exhibit a range of world leading capabilities in the security sector at Intersec 2017, being held in Dubai until January 24th. This significant UK presence reflects the strong commitment to future security cooperation and partnership between the UK and the UAE.
UK companies are looking for opportunities for industrial partnerships and long term joint ventures and the UK is also keen share its experience of managing security programmes while hosting major events and protecting critical national infrastructure from the threat of terrorism. The UK has also extensive experience in securing maritime and land borders and in aviation security, and looks to work closely with the UAE in this important and growing sector.
The UK team is led by Simon Everest, Head of Security and Richard Freeman, Senior Police Adviser. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Freeman said, “The UAE is an important strategic partner and our aim is to continue to deepen and strengthen our security relationship.
