ABU DHABI, 16th May, 2016 (WAM) — Hidd Al Saadiyat, Saadiyat Island, has announced the commencement of its marina construction, which is scheduled for completion in April 2017.
Designed to reflect the project’s serene surroundings, the private marina is set to feature a pedestrian walkway encompassing a view of the striking landscape within a leisurely and relaxing atmosphere. It will also be equipped with 110 berths for boats of different sizes, directly linked to the beach and easily accessible by car, boat or water taxi.
Greg Slingerland, Project Director of Hidd Al Saadiyat, said, “We are witnessing the evolution of Hidd Al Saadiyat into a state-of-the-art development especially now with the construction of the long-anticipated marina. Our continued collaboration with leading contracting companies such as Ghantoot Group further reinforces our commitment to making Hidd Al Saadiyat an exclusive neighborhood just a stone’s throw away from the island’s pristine beaches and turquoise waters.”
As part of its social and environmental responsibility, Hidd Al Saadiyat adopts the best practices of Estidama’s Pearl 2 Sustainability Protocol through close collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s Urban Planning Council. The marina development has also been designed to meet Estidama’s Pearl 2 rating.
