SHARJAH, During its visit to the Sharjah Labour Standards Development Authority, SLSDA,the Health, Labour and Social Affairs Committee at the Sharjah Consultative Council, SCC, reviewed on Sunday the Authority’s various efforts and work in line with the vision of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to take care of workers.
The visit of the SCC Health Committee’s delegation came within the framework of preparing to discuss the policy of the Labour Standards Development Authority during the next session of the Council, which will be held on Thursday evening.
The delegation, which included a number of dignitaries, was received by Salem Yousif Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Sharjah Labour Standards Development Authority, SLSDA, accompanied by several dignitaries.
During the visit, the delegation’s members praised the Authority’s efforts aiming to improve the workers’ environment in the Emirate, commending the Authority’s development methodology in fulfilling its roles in serving this sector.
In turn, the Authority’s Chairman welcomed the Committee’s delegation, praising the Sharjah Consultative Council’s great interest in communicating with all government departments .
During the meeting, the Committee’s members were briefed on the Authority’s work, highlighting most of its distinguished activities that aim to develop the work environment of the workers.
Concluding the meeting, the attendees discussed the Authority’s work and its cooperation with various specialised bodies to serve the working environment in all fields.
