AJMAN, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, praised the efforts of researchers, intellectuals and scientists who contributed to Arab culture and enriched knowledge, expressing his pride of the winners of the 35th Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Sciences.
He made the remakrs while honouring the award’s 35 winners from the UAE and other Gulf Cooperation Council States with the attendance of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, at the Al Safia Palace in Ajman.
Sheikh Humaid praised the support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the Supreme Council Members Theor Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates, for science, scientists, inventors and those who are talented and creative in their efforts to invest in the nation’s capabilities and build national capacities.
“We are following in the footsteps of the country’s founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who said that the wealth of any advanced nation is its educated children, and the advancement of peoples and nations is measured by the level of their education. We have not forgotten his affirmation that the true resource of a nation is its people,” Sheikh Humaid said.
The Rashid bin Humaid Award for Culture and Sciences was launched in 1983 to direct the efforts of researchers and academics to study issues that have a positive impact on raising the knowledge and cultural level in the UAE, which will contribute to building creative generations.
