DUBAI, 31st January, 2017 (WAM) — The Dubai Health Authority, DHA, has discussed collaboration opportunities in the medical field with the United Kingdom at the Arab Health 2017.
This came during a meeting between Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the DHA, and Nicola Blackwood, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Innovation at Department of Health, UK.
Al Qatami on the occasion, emphasised on the importance of exchanging experiences and strengthening partnerships in the medical field, adding that this encompasses a vital part of the DHA’s strategy.
He said the UAE and UK have a well-rooted relationship in the medical field due to their shared goals, which focus on prevention, treatment and scientific research.
Al Qatami said that he looks forward to a fruitful collaboration where the authority can benefit from Britain’s experiences and successes in the medical field. He added that the authority is keen on opening communication channels and collaboration opportunities with the UK Department of Health.
Meanwhile Al Qatami also received officials from GE Healthcare, where collaboration opportunities were discussed, regarding supporting some of the authority’s specialised health facilities.
