SHARJAH, 30th January, 2017 (WAM) — Emirates Auction enlarged the scope of its community-based activities in 2016 by supporting charity and development sectors.
Emirates Auction Chairman Abdullah Al Mannai said that this has added a strategic dimension to its work by guaranteeing greater efficiency and capacity for its continuing support for vulnerable sections of society by providing educational and health assistance. It has also increased its efforts for meeting the basic needs of the general population in terms of charity and social cohesion, following directives from the UAE’s leadership.
The company believes in the importance of humanitarian and charity work to change people’s lives and provide the basic components of a good life, especially health and education. “It also considers the importance of giving and making vulnerable people happy as a duty towards the community, while following in the footsteps of the UAE’s leaders in setting a good example,” he said.
The company will establish more partnerships and organise more auctions in 2017, and profits will be donated to charities to enrich the charitable spirit of the nation as part of the ‘Year of Giving’ initiative, Al Mannai added.
