RAS AL KHAIMAH, 29th January, 2017 (WAM) – Ninety-five publishing houses will take part in the 10th Ras al-Khaimah Book Fair this year, which began on Sunday at the Ras al-Khaimah Exhibition Centre.

Fifteen publishers are participating for the first time in the cultural event, organised by the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah, opened the 13 day book fair, which will host a wide range of cultural and literary events. A ”Donate a book” initiative was also launched to collect books and distribute them to would-be readers, as part of the efforts to spread knowledge and culture.

The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Department of Economic Development and Saeed Al Sayah, First Chairman of RAK Chamber, as well as other senior managers of the chamber and local officials.
