RIYADH,1st October, 2016 (WAM) — Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdullatif Al-Zayani renewed on Saturday the GCC’s call for the international community to enforce the UN Security Council resolutions relating to the crisis in Syria.

“The GCC states urge the international community to respond effectively to the appalling crimes being committed against the residents of Aleppo and other Syrian cities with all kinds of weapons, including the banned ones,” Al-Zayani said in a press release, carried by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

“The atrocities against the Syrian people require an immediate intervention by the UNSC to stop the aggression on Aleppo and put an end to the suffering of the brotherly people of Syria,” he stressed.
