Abu Dhabi Chamber discusses cooperation with Singaporean companies

ABU DHABI, 24th May, 2016 (WAM) — Mohammed Thani Murshid Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has met with Mohammed Omar Abdullah Belfaqeeh, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore, and discussed ways of enhancing joint cooperation with Singaporean companies.

At the meeting at the headquarters of Abu Dhabi Chamber, Al Rumaithi said that the economic and investment cooperation relations between the UAE and Singapore has seen a marked positive developments over the past few years, stressing the importance of strengthening efforts of the private sector to open up new areas to businesspeople and investors in the two countries.

He went to say that the Abu Dhabi Chamber works to encourage investors and companies in the UAE to enter the Singapore market, invest in it, and establish projects within the framework of its efforts to provide new investment opportunities for national companies to contribute to the architectural and cultural renaissance taking place in Singapore.

Mr. Al Rumaithi stressed that the chamber is working on the development of trade and economic cooperation and supporting efforts to increase trade and activate communication between businesspeople in both the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Singapore in various fields and sectors.

Mr. Belfaqeeh expressed his willingness to provide support for the representative office of the Abu Dhabi Chamber which recently opened in Singapore and will contribute to the expansion of areas of cooperation and open up new horizons for economic, investment and technical cooperation between the two friendly countries.
