SHARJAH, 28th January, 2016 (WAM) – H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, visited today the venue of the World Cultural Heritage Weeks at the Sharjah Centre for Heritage Activities in Bait Al Gharbi.
Touring the venue, Sheikh Sultan lauded the selection of Bahrain as the first guest of honour for the weeks and said the selection was fitting, given Bahrain’s track record of preserving its rich heritage.
Sheikh Sultan watched shows by the Bahraini folklore troupes and inspected the sections dedicated to display the country’s traditional crafts, photos and local foods.
Morocco is next in the line to be the weeks’ guest of honour in February.
