DUBAI, 26th January, 2016 (WAM) — Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has applauded the RTA teams and employees who won multiple awards in the Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart Government Programme 2015.
RTA emerged as the winner of the lion’s share of the awards, clinching nine at the corporate level and two at the individual level.
Al Tayer praised the efforts of the winning RTA teams and committees and paid tribute to their unwavering dedication to excellence, which paved the way for their feats. “RTA sweeping the lion’s share of the Programme’s awards, despite the fierce competition from Dubai Government entities, is a testament to the collective efforts of all RTA employees and the prevailing team spirit. It also echoes their relentless commitment to keep abreast of successive developments in various fields, implementation of modern administrative concepts, improved performance and care of human resources, and the promotion of a creative spirit in the business environment,” said Al Tayer.
The Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart Government Programme offers a strong impetus for government departments to boost the government drive in Dubai, and deliver best-in-class services to customers in line with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, to transform Dubai into the smartest city in the world.
“Such ambitions can be realised through offering services and achieving performance levels that surpass customers’ expectations to make them happier. The programme has nurtured a strong infrastructure that merits Dubai Government to realise its objectives of making the city the smartest in the world,” he added.
Al Tayer decorated the winning teams including heads of committees, and members of the winning initiatives and projects.
