SHARJAH, 25th January, 2016 (WAM) — Bee’ah, an integrated environmental and waste management company, has successfully completed its participation in the World Future Energy Summit and ECO-Waste Exhibition, which was hosted in Abu Dhabi by Masdar between the 18th and the 21st of January, as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
During the four-day summit, Bee’ah held intensive talks with government officials from Saudi Arabia, focusing on how to integrate Bee’ah’s unique experience in waste management and environmental consulting into the kingdom.
Commenting on the participation, Khaled Al-Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee’ah, said, “The core focus of Bee’ah’s participation in the World Future Energy Summit was to develop the necessary framework for environmental change in the Middle East region, and to help shape the region’s future in energy, waste management, and environmental solutions.
I believe the summit was of a great importance to stimulate innovative thinking among waste management and energy experts, and helped us showcase sustainable development and renewable energy projects, based on the innovative vision of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.”
Throughout its participation at WFES, Bee’ah showcased an array of cutting-edge technologies in waste management, including its solar-powered Wi-Fi bins, which will soon bring Wi-Fi to the public areas of Sharjah, following the example of New York and London.
Additionally, Bee’ah’s Chairman Salim Bin Mohammed Al Owais held vital meetings with officials from Tadweer, the Centre of Waste Management in Abu Dhabi, at their booth in the ECO-Waste Exhibition, and discussed the most pressing issues in environmental solutions and waste management in the United Arab Emirates.
