DUBAI, 25th January, 2016 (WAM) — A delegation from the Dubai Judicial Institute, DJI, headed by Director-General Judge Dr. Jamal Hussein Al Sumaiti, has discussed cooperation with the Kingdom of the Netherlands in legal and judicial training fields.
During the visit, the delegation discussed cooperation within the framework of activating the channels of knowledge transfer and exchange of judicial experiences, as well as the best practices of training between the two sides.
The delegation met with Judge Rosa Jansen, Chair of the Netherlands Training and Study Center for the Judiciary, and discussed ways to strengthen the bridges of legal and judicial cooperation between the UAE and the Netherlands, the latest modern training methods and personal development methodologies to improve the capacity of the members of justice and judicial system to keep pace with the successive developments on the global legal map.
The members of the delegation toured the Netherlands Training and Study Centre for the Judiciary, where they briefed on the facilities and modern teaching methods, as well as legal and judicial training being followed by the Netherlands.
The delegation met with senior officials in the public prosecutor’s office in the Hague to be briefed on the best international methodologies in the training of prosecutors.
Dr. Al Sumaiti expressed his delight as he held a series of bilateral meetings with an elite team of judges, prosecutors and legal personnel in the Netherlands, stressing the importance of the visit in consolidating the bonds of partnership with the Dutch international legal community.
