In a statement released today, the UAEPAP said that the directives and generous initiatives of the U.A.E. President comes within the constant approach of Sheikh Khalifa in order to provide humanitarian aid to underprivileged people, to secure a decent life, in addition to alleviating the impact of the suffering being witnessed by displaced families due to floods and military operations in Pakistan.
The statement added that reports pointed out that the families are experiencing dire humanitarian conditions, due to food shortage, malnutrition and lack of adequate shelter and natural resources, the wave of bitter cold, as well as weak employment opportunities.
The administration of the U.A.E. Project confirmed that about 20,000 displaced families in camps would benefit from the President’s initiative at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, parts of North and South Waziristan, Bajaur and the tribal areas.
The programme pointed out that a periodic plan was set to implement the generous initiative by providing 1600 tonnes of food items, adding that each food basket includes 80 Kg of food stuff in order to secure self-sufficiency in food for the beneficiaries for a whole month.
The administration of the project extended their thanks to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his generous initiatives.
