General Secretariat of Dubai Executive Council support country’s bid to host 2020 World Expo

Dubai: The General-Secretariat of Executive Council of Dubai has launched the Dubai Government corporate brand identity to promote the efforts exerted by different government entities to support UAE bid to host the World Expo 2020 in Dubai under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’.

H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council has launched the Dubai Government identity manual in 2008 where it witnessed remarkable success in the coordination and unification of the government’ s corporate identity for the government entities who have adopted the guide.

The Guide is one of the projects that supports government communication development within the government development of Dubai strategic plan 2015 as it contributed since its launch in achieving the strategic goals set forth in the plan, which includes the activation of the government’s role in the internal and external communication as well as enhancing the public image of the government and ensuring coordination of government communications.

The special version that was launched recently aimed at promoting participation of the government entities in supporting the bid of Dubai to host 2020 World Expo which explains how to use the official logo of the event properly with the slogan of the Government of Dubai and the government entities’ slogans, including the use of Dubai File’s official slogan in official communication issued by the government departments and their e-websites and e-signatures of Dubai Government staff.

Under the patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , UAE is bidding to host the 2020 World Expo.

The Secretariat General of Executive Council of Dubai has reinforced efforts to support the file through coordination with the organizing committee for the event as well as supporting its communication with all government entities through the public network of Dubai Government’s communication.

On the occasion Dubai Executive Council Secretary-General, Abdulla Al Shaibani said that Dubai Government is working relentlessly with the organizing committee to promote Dubai on the local, regional and international level as the suitable place for hosting the prestigious event.

He explained that the emirate enjoys all the potentials which qualify it to host this international event thanks to the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

“Dubai has the modern infrastructure and best developed services, entertainment and cultural diversity as well as economic openness which would qualify the emirate to host the global event,” he added.
