ABU DHABI, 31st October 2016 (WAM) — The State Security Division of the Federal Supreme Court today issued sentences in a case involving seven people, accused of involvement with the Hezbollah terrorist group.
The court, presided over by Judge Falah Al Hajeri, awarded a life sentence to H. A. S, an Emirati man, and sentenced F. A, H, an Egyptian woman, to 10 years imprisonment. The court also ordered her deportation after serving the sentence.
In the same case, the court handed down a 10-year prison sentence against S. S. A, an Iraqi man, and 15 years to A. H. A and A. H. E, both Lebanese, and ordered the three deported after serving their respective sentences.
The court ordered confiscation of items seized from the defendants.
The charges included providing classified information about the actual oil production with maps of oil and gas fields, in addition to setting up an international group intended to be a branch of Hezbollah, without an official licence.
