FUJAIRAH, The Fujairah Charity Association has donated AED400,000 to the UAE for Rohingya Women and Children campaign, which aims to provide for the basic needs of Rohingya refugees.
While presenting the donation to Abdullah Al Dhanhany, Director of the Fujairah Branch of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, at the association’s headquarters, Ali bin Abbad, Director-General of the Association, stated that the association is looking forward, as per the directives of Saeed Al Raqbany, Chairman of the Association, to supporting Rohingya refugees and easing their burdens, while promoting the UAE’s humanitarian efforts, and achieving the aspirations of the country’s leadership.
He then praised the ERC’s charitable and humanitarian role and its efforts to rescue the needy and those affected by crises and wars, noting that the UAE has become a model of humanitarian and charitable work.
Al Dhanhany praised the association’s support for Emirati charity initiatives while pointing out that the campaign was in line with the UAE’s policy of supporting people affected disasters and crises and alerting the international community about the Rohingya tragedy.
