Sharjah Ruler briefed on Ministry of Infrastructure projects

SHARJAH, — H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has praised the efforts of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and its teams for implementing vital services and projects across the UAE during a meeting with Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and several senior ministry officials.

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi was briefed on the ministry’s infrastructure programmes and plans that are being carried out in the emirate, including services projects, road networks, as well as plans to serve citizens and residents.

Projects discussed during the meeting include the completion of the Kalba-Fujairah Ring Road that extends from Kalba Corniche to Fujairah Airport, the linking of the Al Mentether intersection to the Kalba Malihah Road at the Al Batih intersection at Sharjah-Al Dhaid Road, the linking of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road to Emirates Road through Zubair, as well as the completion of the Khor Fakkan Ring Road. These projects are currently considered as vital projects by the ministry, as they contribute to the development of the road networks that will better serve a large segment of users, and will be a key factor in improving the flow of traffic between cities.

During the meeting, the Sharjah Ruler issued several directives for effective solutions to support the ministry and the continuity of its outstanding efforts to develop infrastructure projects. He stressed the necessity of coordination and cooperation between government institutions in various sectors to achieve the best results for citizens and residents.
