ABU DHABI, Department of Community Development, DCD, has announced its participation alongside its nine partners in Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, ADIBF.
The book fair will take place in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 24th – 30th April.
On this occasion. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, asserted that the unified participation aims at shedding light on the community development sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as a sector exerting efforts toward providing a dignified life for the community members. He said that the unified platform will host more than 45 activities, lectures and workshops, that will take place in social sector stand, and some will be managed by people of determination.
With respect to choosing the late poet, Ousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, also known as “Fatat Al Arab” (Girl of the Arabs), as the central figure of this year’s exhibition, Dr. Al Khaili stressed that the late poet embodies the genuineness of the Emiratis, and selecting her as the central figure of this exhibition is nothing but the result of her cultural life abounding with achievements.
