Emirates Red Crescent briefs Ajman Ruler on refugee aid work in Greece

AJMAN, — A delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent today briefed H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, on the humanitarian agency’s operations and services at refugee camps in Greece.

Saif Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, director of Emirates Red Crescent’s Ajman office and head of the delegation, was accompanied by several volunteers including doctors.

He spoke about the medical services offered to the refugees by a specialised team that included Emirati volunteer doctors.

H.H. Sheikh Humaid stressed that the UAE was at the forefront of countries providing humanitarian services to all people across the world, based on a unique approach aimed at enhancing all aspects of charitable work.

He praised the young volunteers who participated in the effort and urged them to work harder to preserve the UAE’s prestigious global stature.

Sheikh Humaid also praised the UAE leadership, namely President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for supporting the charitable and humanitarian work and helping the underprivileged.

He also praised the efforts being made by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and President of the Emirates Red Crescent.

Sheikh Hamdan has reiterated the UAE’s commitment to its humanitarian responsibilities towards the people affected by the crisis in Syria, he noted.
