Emirates Red Crescent provides medical treatment for Syrian refugees in Greece

ABU DHABI, 29th December, 2016 (WAM) — The fifth medical team of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has started following-up the provision of medical and health programme, set up by the authority, to provide medical treatment to Syrian refugees in Greece during the winter.

Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of ERC, said that the authority’s provision of medical aid is in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the ERC, to provide all humanitarian, medical and relief aid to affected Syrian refugees due to the situation in their country.

Al Falahi added that the ERC has set up a plan and a periodic programme for volunteer Emirati doctors from various medical specialities to provide assistance to the families of Syrian refugees.
