Dubai Taxi revenues reached AED 1.4 billion in 2015

DUBAI, 5th March, 2016 (WAM) — Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has revealed that total operating revenues of the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the RTA reached AED 1.481 billion in 2015 compared with AED 1.311 billion reported in 2014.

The total profits posted by the DTC last year amounted to AED280 million compared with AED 270 million last year after deducting franchise fees paid by the DTC to Public Transport Agency against plate fees, and booking and distribution fees among others.

He also said that DTC has carried out about 47 million trips in 2015 at an average of 129,000 trips per day compared with 46 million trips recorded in 2014. Last year the DTC lifted about 94 million riders compared with 92 million riders in 2014.
