Dubai Silicon Oasis Celebrates 44th UAE National Day

DUBAI, 26th November, 2015 (WAM)–Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, today celebrated the UAE’s 44th National Day with grand festivities at the DSOA headquarters.

The celebrations were organised in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Alzarooni, Vice Chairman and CEO of DSOA, as well as DSOA’s staff, business partners and community members.

Complementing the festive ambience, the UAE’s folklore dancers performed at the DSOA headquarters. Traditional Emirati food was served and a painting competition for children was also organized to commemorate the occasion. Furthermore, DSOA headquarters hosted a photography exhibition showcasing the UAE’s culture and traditions, in collaboration with the Emirates Fine Arts Society.

Dr. Mohammed Alzarooni said, “We congratulate President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as well as Members Supreme Council, Their Highnesses, The Rulers of Emirates and UAE people, on this important national celebration.”

He added, “The founding fathers of the UAE envisioned great achievements for this country with limitless ambitions to reach great heights. Today, we reaffirm our pledge to carry on the hard work towards the growth and development of our beautiful country towards achieving their vision. Our appreciation is also due to our national heroes who have served and continue to serve and safeguard this country with their lives, a sacrifice that was established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.”

Dr. Alzarooni concluded his address with a prayer for the safety and protection of UAE and its sovereignty, its leaders and hard-working people.
