DMCA showcases Dubai as maritime hub at Seatrade ME

DUBAI, 31st October, 2016 (WAM)– The Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) has joined national, regional and international players at Seatrade Maritime Middle East 2016 to highlight Dubai’s transformation into one of the most competitive and comprehensive maritime clusters in the world.

“Out of our commitment to support Dubai’s transformation into one of the world’s best maritime capitals, we aim to focus on some key elements, including smart maritime shipping and maritime innovation as strong foundations to create an integrated maritime environment,” Amer Ali, executive director of DMCA, said.

Ali stressed that the DMCA is committed to support international efforts in facing the current challenges, identifying emerging opportunities and developing a clear roadmap for optimizing the available growth opportunities in the sector and meet the industry’s comprehensive and sustainable development objectives.

Running from 31st October to 2nd November on the side-lines of Dubai Maritime Week 2016, Seatrade Maritime Middle East 2016 hosts 7,500 participants including decision makers, experts, businessmen and those working in the maritime industry looking for major developments and collaboration opportunities that would bring the maritime industry to a new level of growth and sustainability.
