DIC wins two Distinctions at fDi Magazine 2015 Awards

DUBAI, 1st November, 2015 (WAM) — Dubai Industrial City, DIC, a leading manufacturing and logistics hub in the UAE, has bagged distinctions in two categories at the fDi Magazine awards for 2015.

Part of the UK-based Financial Times Group, the respected industry platform recognised the Dubai Industrial City in the ‘Bespoke’ category for its leading infrastructure development, and in the ‘Regional’ category for emerging as the most promising destination for large tenants in the Middle East.

As part of the stringent evaluation process, a distinguished jury panel assessed 76 nominees on their growth for the fiscal year 2014-2015, based on criteria such as upsurge in the number of tenants, increase in total surface area, and development of facilities.

Abdulla Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Industrial City, said, “We are proud to be recognised by fDi magazine and the Financial Times Group for our commitment to our country and its vision, as well as our business partners and visitors. Our selection in two coveted categories distinguishes us from our industry peers and competition, while demonstrating our sustained commitment to ensuring the delivery of enabling incentives and best-in-class strategy for the greater benefit of our end-users.”

In early October, Dubai Industrial City announced robust financial growth for 2015, reflecting a 59% increase in gross profits and 28% growth in revenues compared to 2014.

To date, a total of 680 business partners have chosen Dubai Industrial City as the ideal base for their growing businesses, due to its strategic location, value-added offerings and niche facilities.

Spanning more than 55 square kilometres, Dubai Industrial City was established in 2004.
