Decision to suspend or continue classes is within powers delegated to university presidents, says Belhoul Al Falasi

ABU DHABI, 9th March, 2016 (WAM) – Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul AlFalasi, Minister of State for Higher Education, has stressed that the decision to suspend or continue classes is within the powers delegated to the university presidents.

He said in a statement, “Due to variable weather conditions in the country, the decision to suspend or continue the classes on Thursday at the higher education institutions is within the powers delegated to the heads of these institutions as they deem it fit in the interest and safety of all students.”

The minister’s statement comes in the wake of the decision to suspend work on Thursday in all public and private schools.
