December 24th declared day off to mark Prophet’s birth anniversary

ABU DHABI, 13th December, 2015 (WAM) — The Ministry of Labour has declared Thursday, December 24th 2015, an official paid holiday for the private sector to mark the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Saqr Ghobash, Labour Minister, made the announcement in implementation of the provisions of Article 74 of Federal Law No. 08 of 1980 concerning labour relations and its amendments.

Marking the Holy occasion, the minister sent his regards to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and to Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates.

He wished citizens and residents of the UAE happiness and prosperity on the occasion, praying for further progress and wealth to all Arab and Islamic nations.
