DUBAI, — Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has adopted “Dubai Font” for its internal and external correspondence, as well as all its digital platforms, including its website, smart apps, and social media pages.
The move came in response to the launch of the “Dubai Font” by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council. “Dubai Font” is the first in the world to be developed by a city and carry its name, in co-operation with Microsoft.
“Launching ‘Dubai Font’ confirms the pioneering approach of the UAE in creativity and innovation regionally and globally. It also underlines Dubai’s distinguished efforts to promote its role in the digital world. This contributes to achieving the wise vision of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which always motivates us to continue our leadership and excellence, and anticipate and shape the future of strategic sectors, according to a clear approach based on innovation, research and development,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
