Anti-narcotic efforts in Dubai evaluated General July 17, 2012July 28, 20120 Dubai: Commander General of Dubai Police Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim chaired on Monday a meeting held to evaluate the anti-narcotic efforts in the emirate during the second quarter of the year. The meeting discussed mechanisms adopted by the general administration to combat traffic and use of narcotics in the emirate. This included anti-narcotic squads to track traffickers as well as awareness drives to save drug users from its dangers. The meeting also discussed the strategy for the third quarter of the current year to fight the menace. Major General Khamis Mattar Al-Mezaina Deputy Commander General of Dubai Police, Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi Mohammed Alasmawi Director General of the Department for Combating Drugs, Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, Director General at the Department of Airports Security, Brigadier Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri Director General Department of Criminal Investigation and a number of other officers attended the meeting.
