Ajman Ruler orders release of 52 prisoners to mark Ramadan General July 20, 2012July 28, 20120 Ajman: H. H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 52 prisoners of different nationalities from the punitive and reformative institutions in the emirate to mark Ramadan. The pardon was given to the inmates for showing good conduct and memorising chapters of the holy Quran while serving their jail terms. Those convicted of deportation will be sent back to their home countries. The Ruler hoped that the released prisoners would lead a decent life ahead. Brigadier Ali Alwan, Director General of Ajman Police, paid tribute to Sheikh Humaid for giving a new chance to pardoned prisoners to become good human beings and reunite with their families. He added that procedures for their release would be immediately processed to allow them to join their love ones at the start of Ramadan.
