ACT chief minister visits UAE pavilion at 2016 National Multicultural Festival

CANBERRA, 15th February 2016 (WAM) — Chief Minister of Australian Capital Territory Andrew Barr has visited the UAE pavilion at the 2016 National Multicultural Festival in the presence of Ambassador of the UAE to Australia Obaid Al Heri Al Ketbi and members of the UAE mission.

The ambassador noted that participation in such events boosts interaction and rapprochement between peoples and cultures of various countries.

The pavilion, he added, helps in showcasing the UAE’s achievements and traditions.

The ACT chief minister noted that the UAE pavilion reflects the UAE’s outstanding global stature.

Some 400,000 people from more than 50 countries, including Arab countries, took part in the festival.
